Morning in the Camp
Ivystar yawned, leving her den just before the sun rose in the sky. This was her customary time to waken every morning, and she found the peace before the bustle of camp started calming. She could just sit here and enjoy the quiet, and also think about plans for the day ahead. She would need to send out border patrols first, and then a few hunting patrols scattered throughout the day.
She glanced up at the moon as it receded from the sky. It would be time for a meeting among the clans soon. She flicked her tail, knowing there was nothing really of great importance that she would have to announce. Things had been peaceful the past few moons. She only hoped it would stay that way for the sake of her clan.

Approaching Daylight
Spiderpaw, having already woken and sat in the sun, heard footfalls behind him. He opened his mouth, tasting the air silently. It was the leader, Ivystar. He let her be, knowing she would do no harm. She was just another cat seeking peace. He stretched, sitting back down and wrapping his tail neatly around his paw. He tended to be a bit more serious than others, often lost in his own mind. When he wasn't thinking, he was observing and storing information to think about later before he was sucked back into his own mind. He was often busy during the daytime hours, though, so he preferred to take these precious moments in the morning before the bustling life of a clan cat began in the hours of the day.

Observing
Shadowpaw emerged from his deep sleep just as the sun was about to peak over the horizon and shed its light over the misty forest. He yawned softly and his white ears twitched. He could hear other cats up and about already. Shadowpaw enjoyed waking up in the early hours of the morning and listening to the ambiance around him. The birds chirping their little tunes through the air, the water tumbling around over the rocks, the grass swaying slightly in the breeze. Then, more and more cats awoke and drowned out some of the noise, disturbing his peace. For now, he would enjoy that peacefulness. He yawned softly once more as his small paws padded softly through the shifting grass. He coiled himself and leaped onto a rock, still slightly cool from the night air. He saw two other cats out near him. A dark-colored male and a ginger female. He crouched himself low, hopefully obscuring their vision of him.
He never liked to speak up when other cats approached him and he usually attempted to keep a small distance from other cats and himself. Shadowpaw stared at the two other cats with his large brown eyes as the sun's light approached them, breaking through some of the mist and illuminating the shadowy forest. He also didn't like shadows and darkness. When he looked out into the foliage after the light had faded from the sky, he would never imagine traversing the forest at night. For fear of what may lurk in the shadows, obscured from vision. Though cats could see through some of the darkness, his imagination still kept him deep in the safety of his clan during those hours. He could feel the warmth from the sun on his snow white fur now. He looked up to the ball of light for a moment. Then, returned his gaze back to the two cats in front of him, watching them quietly.

Re: Mist Clan's Camp RP
Leopardpaw twitched in her sleep. Dawn was breaking, the birds were chirping, and the river trickled gently. She woke with a start. "Just a dream." she murmured, "Just a dream." She padded out and started stretching. "Empty fresh-kill pile." she muttered. She padded over to Spiderpaw. "Hi." she mewed, "How are you doing?"

Mothfur
Mothfur padded across the clearing; the large deputy sitting near the apprentices. "Hunting patrol time!" She yowled, her yellow eyes glinting. "Cloudflight, Spiderpaw, and Shadowpaw come with me." She glanced at her leader; Ivystar for approval, since it was the deputy's duty to set up patrols.

"Can I go, please?" mewed Leopardpaw. She had never been out on a real patrol. "I want to see if I can group hunt."

Mothfur
"No, Leopardpaw, you have to stay inside the camp. Go clean the elder's bedding." Mothfur said sternly. She flicked her eyes at the apprentice."Not everyone can go on hunting patrols. 4 cats is enough, if we sent any more; who would defend the camp?"
Re: Mist Clan's Camp RP
"Fine" meowed Leopardpaw. She padded over to a willow and started to pull off moss.

Shadowpaw turned from his lowered position on the rock as the bigger cat Mothfur sat near them, giving them an order. She wanted him to go on a hunting patrol? He wasn't very good at hunting. Shadowpaw had tried many times before but was never quiet enough or fast enough to seize his pray. He wanted to be bigger and stronger and hoped he would grow soon. He padded slowly and timidly toward the cat, unsure of her choice.

Leopardpaw ripped another piece of moss off. "I'm bored, this is stupid." she muttered. She dragged some moss over to the elders den. "Here, fresh moss." she growled.

HoneyWhisker
HoneyWhisker gets up and stretches. She groms herself and looks up. The sky is dark grey. Almost black. It's so hot and she starts to clam up. She goes out to hunt and do her duties.

I pad into camp, wanting to grin yet holding a plump, juicy mouse in my jaws. I scramble through the marshy entrance, plopping the mouse on the fresh-kill pile before darting to the apprentice den to tell everyone.

Dawn
The sun hung drowsily in the early dawn sky, lightly brushing the camp. Rainpaw liked to watch the camp early, observing the others stirring in their dens before approaching the clearing. He yawned softly and smoothed his pelt, ruffled by sleep. Birds whistled through the morning, urging cats to awaken.
Early mice scuttled through the undergrowth, dense with the green of new-leaf. Warm scents drifted through his nose, and he eagerly slipped back down to camp to grab a rather frazzled-looking mouse.

Cats don't understand the "twolegs"
Emberkit drew a paw over her ears, gently washing the dirt off. Suddenly a squeal cut through the air. Startled, Emberkit jumped. In unison, heads began poking out of the dens. A withering mass of fire coloured fur attracted their gazes. To Emberkit's surprise, the clump of fur seemed to be a kit, and a scraggly one at that.
